How the Carbon Steel Square Wire Making Machine Works

• Explanation of the core process:

   1. Round wire feeding: This marks the first step of the production line. The prepared round wire is placed onto the wire payoff rack, initiating the production process.

   2. Transition from round wire to square wire: The wire first passes through 2-Hi rolling mills, which consist of two horizontally opposed rollers. These rollers exert significant compressive force on the wire, altering its cross-sectional shape.  That means, After this process, your raw material (round wire) is rolled into a flat wire shape.

  3. Role of 4-Hi rolling mills: The wire then passes through 4-Hi rolling mills, which are equipped with four rollers—two larger backup rollers and two smaller working rollers. We offer a variety of 4-Hi rolling mills to suit your needs, including both symmetrical and asymmetrical structures. This versatile configuration enables finer adjustments and enhanced precision. As the wire moves through the 4-Hi mill, it experiences controlled compression on all sides, gradually forming a square profile. For achieving tighter tolerances or specific dimensions, the wire may undergo multiple rolling stages.
