Here are the key features and components of an aluminum wire rod mill:
Uncoiler:The coil of the wire rod shall be placed on the uncoiler using shopfloor load-lifting equipment. The following operations shall be performed manually: feeding of the coil end to the straightening machine, slendering of wire front end, feeding of the coil end to each deformation/drawing stage. The rest of the process (including winding to the take-up drum for drawn wire) shall be fully automated. Processing is carried out according to the recipes developed by Customer’s process engineers. The recipes are set up on the control panel. The minimum possible number of recipes shall be 500. Access to the recipe creation mode shall be protected with the password, and the operator shall not be able to control processing modes.

Scalping Machine: The scalping machine removes the surface layer of the billets to eliminate any defects or impurities before the cold rolling process for aluminium wire rod mill.

The round bar and wires are fed into the rolling mill, where they are passed through a series of rolling stands that progressively reduce the billet's cross-sectional area.
